The student was rushed to an area hospital in serious condition, he was shot in a school bathroom on Jan. 21 at approximately 12:53 p.m., police said.
The suspected shooter is a student of the school and was located in a classroom by police after the incident occurred.
Investigators say they are investigating what type of gun was used in the shooting and exploring the possibility that it may be a "ghost gun."
No charges have been filed against the suspect, yet.
Police are also trying to determine a motive for the shooting but they believe it may have been a targeted incident.
